Rod Wilson  Dip.IEE C.Eng.  MIET

 

Rod has been in the Industrial Control Business for over 35 years.  He started his career at Reid and Sigrist  (Part of the Decca Group),  working in the Industrial Drives Division, mainly involved in the design and application of small D.C. Drives.  

 

Following that Rod moved to Brush Electrical Machines Ltd. at Loughborough, where he was for 4 years very involved with automotive test rigs.  His final job at Brush was a 26-cell installation for Perkins Engines.  This was for testing 3 and 4 cylinder Diesel Engines.  He left in March 1979 to move to Littlehampton, in order to join Shackleton System Drives Ltd  ( Formally  Eurotherm Drives Ltd,  then S.S.D. Drives Ltd ! now part of the Parker Group  )  where he worked for 14 years. For 6  of these he was Projects Manager.

 

He and his wife Dot started Pimbo Industrial Design Ltd. at the end of 1991, originally in Lancashire, moving to the Midlands in May 1996. 

 

Rod is a chartered Engineer, being a corporate member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology ( Formally the Institute of Electrical Engineers. )

 

 

Dominic Primavesi   M Inst.P

 

Dominic started working for Pimbo Industrial Design Ltd. in January 1997,  having spent the previous 2 years working for Anacomp Magnetics at Brynmawr, near Abergavenny. 

 

Prior to this he was with Verbatim in Limerick, Ireland, for 12 years.  In both of these posts, he was working as an electronics design and control engineer involved with all aspects of the manufacture of magnetic film. He has a wealth of experience in instrumentation and a particular interest in ‘ flameproof and intrinsically safe ‘  systems.

 

Dominic is a member of the Institute of Physics.
